What is collagen?

Collagen is made up of amino acids, which are in turn made up carbon, oxygen,and hydrogen.the men amino acids that make collagen are proline , glycine,and hydroxyproline.the body also needs vitamin c , zinc, copper, manganese to make collagen. Collagen is a protein it is primary building block of connective tissues, skin muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments.

Types of collagen:

There are 28 types of collagen identified. They differ by how the molecules are assembled, the cell components that are added and where the college is use in our body. All collagen have atleast one triple helix structure.

Type 1:

This type makes up 90% of our bodys collagen.type 1 is densely packed and and used to provide structure to your skin , bones ,tendons and ligaments.

Type 2:

This type is found in elastic cartilage ,which provides joint support.

Type 3:

This type is found in muscle arteries and organs.

Type 4:

This type is found in the layers of our skin

Type 5:

This type is found in the cornea of our eyes, some layer of our skin , hair and tissues of the placenta.

Signs of collagen deficiency.

Collagen can't be measured, but there are signs that your collagen level is decreasing. These systems are skins thats wrinkled , creepy our sagging, hollowing in and around our eyes and face , shrinking, weakening muscles , stiffer, less flexible tendons and ligaments, joint pain , loss of mobility due to joint damage, problems with blood flow.
